How do I know when my watch is fully wound? Upon gently winding a watch the wheel inside will quit ratcheting when the main spring itself has come to full capacity. When winding the watch if you feel a resistance do not try to force it because if the watch is already wound fully you can cause internal damage to the movement which can also mean possible expensive repairs. |
